DSP Campaigns With No Re-directs¶
Abstract¶
The developer documentation for Enhanced Attribution has moved to its own dedicated web portal at
https://developer.yahooinc.com/identity/guide/
The new portal is the source of truth for this new solution. Visit the new portal to take advantage of this client ID implementation.
Describes how to enable Enhanced Attribution for Yahoo DSP campaigns where there are no re-directs.
Overview¶
Enabling Enhanced Attribution involves turning on the feature in the platform as well as ensuring a JavaScript Dot Tag is implemented on the client website.
Here is a quick checklist to make sure this applies to your DSP campaign:
You’re running in the Yahoo DSP.
You’re delivering traffic directly to your landing page.
The click-through URL and landing page URL are the same.
There are no additional Tracking URLs.
In the DSP UI¶
In the DSP UI, navigate to the Advertiser in your seat.
Click into Advertiser Properties in the top bar.
In the bottom left corner, click the Enable enhanced attribution button.
Direct to Landing Page Enablement in DSP¶
Since you’re not using any 3rd party tracking, the Yahoo Click ID (vmcid) is now appended to all click-through events.
