Welcome to the Native & Search API Product Bulletin. This update includes a quick snapshot of recent and upcoming releases and is focused on features supported by the API. A summary of supported functionality is also included.
Product Bulletins are updated on a monthly cadence for Native & Search API partners, account managers and developers.
Be sure to listen to our December 2018 podcast for an overview of key product enhancements and updates we introduced in 2018. Please see below for links to information about these enhancements, plus more resources available in our best-in-class API documentation suite, designed to help you simplify the process of integrating with us.
New Dot Setup Guides for Native Feed Ads (formerly known as Dynamic Product Ads), for partners and advertisers who work with 3rd party feed managers. Also, you can use the new Chrome extension to inspect, validate and troubleshoot Dot tags that you’ve implemented on your website. For more information with steps on installation, check out Dot Helper Chrome Extension.
Zip code targeting is now available for Native campaigns. For available attributes, see the WOEID section of the Targeting Attributes documentation. Also see the Data Dictionary for details and valid values on how to look up WOEIDs by location name as well as by Zip code.
Mobile Deep Link targeting is now available to drive mobile traffic and improve performance across multiple campaign objectives. For details on fields and formats, see Campaigns and BULK Campaign Fields.
See our Bidding Strategies guide for details on our new Maximize Conversions and other bidding strategies. Each strategy is intended to provide you with greater flexibility and control of your bidding.
We added several key resources to our best-in-class API documentation suite in 2018, including our new Oath Unified Ad glossary. It includes a broad set of searchable terms, illustrations, videos and embedded hyperlinks that are unique to the Native & Search API, UI, and our DSP. If you are new to the API or need a refresher, our new API Endpoints Documentation is your guide to key terminology, example endpoint usage, and a matrix view of the API endpoints.
If you have a large account and notice your bulk downloads are taking longer over time, please consider deleting dormant or orphaned objects (Campaigns, Keywords, Ads, Ad Groups). See the Native & Search Guide for more details on Bulk operations.
